Yesterday and today I met with two more people who will be participating in our performances. Both are art students. Lizzee is going to paint and Soojin is not sure yet what to do. They are both really excited about the project and so am I. I can't wait to see what kinds of representations they will create. So I think now we have all our performers for the piece. I am really excited to get to the next stage of the project, which is actually performing the piece. We don’t really want to rehearse at all because we are inevitably going to be influenced by each other's interpretations. We want to be as fresh as possible when we get together to perform so that we can create an authentic individual performance every time. To ensure this we will be performing the piece in a different way each time we perform. For example, the first time we perform may have a particular order of performers, this would need to be different the second time to prevent any similar influences in the performance.
The next step is to get together and talk about our ideas for the performance and how much time each of will need or want. And find time when we are all available to perform!
